Winter Storm Leaves 15,000 In Central Indiana Without Power

More than 15,000 Hoosiers are without power after heavy snowfall and subzero temperatures hit the state.

15,000 power outages are being reported in central Indiana.

After several inches of snow fell around the state Sunday night and temperatures dropped below zero, many in central Indiana are without power. Duke Energy is reporting 3,065 current outages, most of which are in Vigo County. Below is a list of reported outages to Duke Energy as of 6:00 a.m.

  • Bartholomew: 1
  • Brown: 3
  • Jackson: 1
  • Lawrence: 46
  • Monroe: 14
  • Morgan: 88
  • Owen: 52
  • Vigo: 552

Indianapolis Power and Light is reporting 12,191 outages.
