The 72 degree weather won’t last long. Forecasters from the National Weather Service say a strong area of low pressure will bring rain tonight with a slight chance for thunderstorms, which will change over to snow and sleet tomorrow morning.

Wind gusts up to 45 MPH could cause blowing snow making travel difficult. Wind chill values could reach single digits.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect Wednesday across the northern half of central Indiana. Areas such as Lafayette and Kokomo could see 3 to 5 inches of snow, with 2 to 4 inches across areas around Indianapolis. The southern half of central Indiana will see an inch or less of snow.

The highs Wednesday and Thursday are predicted to reach 40. Then 57 on Friday and 54 by Saturday.
