Bloomington officials are asking for help to cleanup after a tornado touched down on the city’s west side this week.
Van Buren Township Trustee Rita Barrow says time is the best thing people wanting to help out can contribute.
“What we’re looking for are individuals that are experienced with chainsaws or individuals who are capable of helping lift things off of individual’s houses; anything we can do as far as cleanup.” Says Barrow.
A day devoted to volunteer cleanup is scheduled for Sunday. Volunteers will convene at the AmVets building on Airport Road at noon. Barrow says people are encouraged to bring chainsaws, trailers, or any other heavy equipment they may have.
