Former Vice President Dan Quayle toured the BioConvergence laboratory today with current Republican candidate for the ninth district congressional seat, Todd Young.
When not out stumping for republican candidates, Quayle now works for a capital management company in New York City and has been traveling the globe for business. He is in Bloomington today to raise money for Young’s 2010 congressional campaign, a year that Quayle thinks will be good for republicans.
“Quite frankly, I’m a little surprised we’re in as good of shape as we are right now,” says Quayle. “I expected the Obama administration to be more effective than apparently it is going to be because he had very high expectations, a lot of popularity, a lot of hope. But thus far there hasn’t been very many accomplishments.”
