The recently completed fundraising from the United Way of Central Indiana is a record high. President Ellen Annala says they raised $40.6 million, which exceeded their target goal of $39.2 million.
Annala says they learned early on that the mood of companies was getting better last year, despite the down economy. She says the money will help support special education initiatives and many types of organizations, including many children‘s organizations.
