Marion County voters will be able to vote early only by going to the City-County Building.
In-person voting before Election Day at any location other than the county clerk’s office requires unanimous approval of the county election board – approval which was not granted at a Monday meeting of the Marion County Election Board.
Democrats sought to answer Republican complaints about the $50,000 cost of running two more early voting centers with a United Auto Workers offer to foot the bill. Republican board member Patrick Dietrick was the only member of the three-person panel voting against the proposal.
