A second trip to Indiana could lead to business partnerships between Turkish companies and the state's hardwood industry.
The delegation of Turkish business leaders will begin its tour Sunday at the Morgan-Monroe State Forest and will visit two Indiana hardwood companies Monday. Department of Agriculture spokesman Mike Seidl says his department will also host one-on-one meetings between the Turkish delegation and Indiana manufacturers to discuss purchasing opportunities.
“We’re always looking to extend not only the invitation to come and see our facilities, but its also a time to do business. Seidl said. “They understand that and so do the Indiana exporters.”
The hardwood industry employs more than 35,000 Hoosiers.
