Tornado Watch In Effect Until 10 PM

There is a slight risk of severe weather with damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes this evening.

6:00 PM UPDATE

Scattered thunderstorms are popping up over south-central Indiana and moving northeast producing brief heavy rain…wind gusts to 80 mph and one inch hail. An initial report of a ‘brief’ tornado touchdown 1 mile west of Columbus was reported by a trained spotter. Flash flooding has also been reported along Kessler and Keystone streets in Indianapolis. A tornado watch remains in effect for central Indiana until 10 PM.

3:30 PM UPDATE

Scattered thunderstorms near Brazil…Greencastle…Bloomington and Lebanon will move northeast and reach the Carmel…Noblesville…Indianapolis…Greenwood and Nashville areas between 3PM and 5PM. The showers and storms will produce brief heavy rain…wind gusts to 30 mph and frequent lightning. Even some small hail is possible.
