Henryville High School was badly damaged by the storms.
President Obama has approved federal assistance for state and local governments and certain non-profit organizations in five Indiana counties hit hard by recent tornadoes.
Clark, Jefferson, Ripley, Scott and Washington counties sustained damage from tornadoes and severe storms that struck in late February and early March. The federal assistance means qualified agencies in these counties will be eligible to apply for money to help pay for the cost to remove debris, repair facilities including roads and utilities and provide emergency services.
