The Indiana Republican Party Executive Committee unanimously approved Monday the governor’s choice for the state GOP chairman, Tim Berry.
Marsha Coats, the wife of U.S. Senator Dan Coats, was also elected national committeewoman.
In a statement, Berry says it is incumbent on him and the party not to be complacent with its recent victories. The former State Treasurer and Auditor says he is excited about the opportunity to broaden the party’s base of support around the state.
Pence has already begun interviewing replacements for state auditor, saying he plans to choose someone who can run for the position in next year’s election.
