The Terre Haute Police Department arrested a man Thursday in connection with the strangulation death of a Terre Haute woman two years ago. Chief of Police George Ralston says that Joseph C. Jenkins Junior, has been arrested for the murder of Lynn Voll. Ralston says that Jenkins is already in jail, serving an 18-month sentence for a stalking conviction
Ralston says that Jenkins will be released from jail this month or next, and will again be taken into custody. Ralston says that a travel request will be approved in the next week to bring Jenkins back to Vigo County so he can be arraigned on the murder charge. On November 11, 2005, Voll was found dead in her home in the 1800 block of Garfield Avenue. A coroner’s report at the time indicated that she died from manual strangulation. Ralston didn’t say how Jenkins was tied to the crime.
