One child was killed and another is in serious condition after the pair was struck by a car Thursday morning on their way to school.  The driver, police say, was a teacher.  It happened near Westwood Elementary School in New Castle.  Eleven year old Dalton Hatfield was killed and 17 year old Donald Wethington was taken by air care to an Indianapolis hospital.  The boys were walking along County Road 100 South when investigators say New Castle Community Schools teacher Penny Bowman struck them.  Henry County Sheriff Butch Baker says the cause of the accident is under investigation.
