Some Indiana hospitals are losing Medicare funding because of the rate at which people are readmitted after treatment.
A $10,000 donation from Terre Haute’s Union Hospital Foundation will pay for the installation of defibrillators in Vigo County Sheriff’s Department cars.
According to Modern Healthcare magazine, Terre Haute’s Union Hospital provides one of the country’s best work environments for its employees.
Union Hospital of Terre Haute will expand 500,000 square feet now that funding has been secured. The project will cost $178 million and will take two years.
