One urban planning expert says if the cash is poured into trails, it may pay the city back more than other investments.
Indiana University students presented plans to the Bedford Council to pay for improved city parks and six to seven miles of pedestrian and biking trails.
The B-Line Trail project in Bloomington is on track to be completed ahead of schedule. Crews today installed the pedestrian bridge above Grimes Lane.
Jackson Creek Trail, on Bloomington’s south side, is open after just three months of construction.
