The Violence Against Women Act provides $5.5 million to women's groups across the state.
Following a last minute outpouring of support, including a $25,000 pledge from Elaine Mellencamp, Middle Way House of Bloomington has met its fundraising goal.
The grant will help keep the Middle Way House's new location in the historic register, and will go towards helping restore the building's floor.
