Tipton County officials have decided not to accept any new applications for wind farm construction until after a public hearing.
The tax credits will benefit E-on Climate and Renewables and juwi, two energy companies building wind farms in Indiana.
Besides a possible investment in Tipton County, Chrysler is expanding its operations in nearby Kokomo, possibly adding another 400 jobs.
Despite Kokomo’s unemployment rate inching up a tenth of a percent in July, the city’s mayor says the number doesn’t tell the whole story.
