An Indiana University researcher found that students who attend schools where scores are improving do not do better on the ACT college entrance exam.
The photo ID requirement is intended to stop cheating on the tests.
A total of 108,041 students were enrolled at IU campuses as of Monday.
Indiana university uses complex mathematical models to predict its number of students, but in recent years these models have come up short.
