The General Assembly passed legislation authorizing the state Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission to develop temporary stage equipment regulations.
The changes aim to prevent another event like last year’s State Fair stage collapse.
A commission will likely approve new regulations this week on temporary outdoor stage equipment.
The Event Alliance gathered in Indiana to establish standards to be used on outdoor stages throughout the U.S.
