The Monroe County Clerk appears ready to buck several legal opinions regarding how November’s general election ballots should look.
Early absentee voting began today in Monroe County.
The option would reduce the total number of precincts open on Election Day.
Members of the public now have 30 days to voice an opinions on county vote centers.
The county’s population has surpassed the 125,000 mark, meaning the county must begin talks about creating a voter registration board.
Some are seeking another term while others are deciding to take time off for various reasons.
Candidates for mayor, city clerk and other positions could officially declare their candidacy starting Wednesday.
