The Indiana Supreme Court has, in less than three weeks, decided the case which could establish the final outcome of the 2007 Terre Haute mayoral election.
The issue of control of the city of Terre Haute now rests with the state's highest court.
Terre Haute Mayor Kevin Burke says rising property taxes are a problem for Hoosiers, and suggested the state constitution be changed to resolve the issue.
A press release says a recent internal study concluded that "Terre Haute's limited production capacity hindered the mill's long-term competitiveness."
