The median home sale price in Owen County has more than doubled since last year.
While Hendricks County saw home sales rise significantly, Brown County saw sales drop during the same period.
Even though the county saw a large percentage increase, only 77 sales were complete or pending at the end of the month, up from 41 last January.
Rising home sales could be a positive trend in the coming months.
The housing market accounts for much of the gain, but it's unclear which houses are most responsible.
Realtors say homes with swimming pools may seem more appealing to potential buyers during the summer heat.
Home sales were up in April and realtors say houses are remaining on the market for shorter periods of time.
While the number of homes sold went up, the median selling price was down slightly, about $133,000.
Whoever buys the house on Dunn Street in Bloomington will be responsible for moving it off its current property.
Numbers released by the Indiana Association of Realtors shows housing prices are up in parts of the state and the number of pending home sales is also up.
