No relief is in sight. The National Weather Service reports the heat index rating to be in the upper 90s on Wednesday.
Precautionary maintenance will help keep homes cool and bills down.
If the heatwave continues through the weekend as forecasted, it would be the longest heatwave to hit Indiana in 40 years.
