The Bloomington City Council voted 5-4 against the re-introduction of legislative reform Wednesday night but agreed changes could be made.
Senators unanimously recommended passage of a nepotism ban in local government.
The bill would ban local government employees from serving as their own boss, and it officials‘ ability to hire relatives.
