Increasing regulation for compounding pharmacies across the board could lead to some facilities going out of business.
Health officials say they are seeing fewer fungal meningitis infections, but more spinal infections caused by tainted steroids.
According to the State Health Department , the public was never at risk because fungal meningitis is not contagious.
IU Health Bloomington says it did not purchase any of the spinal steroid that has caused meningitis in 11 Indiana residents.
The number of fungal meningitis cases linked to tainted spinal steroid injections has increased from five to 11 since Saturday.
