Power outages are being reported across the area, but the area hardest hit is Vigo County.
Governor Daniels says the state will monitor an approaching winter storm, but for now at least, state government will operate as normal tomorrow.
A winter storm hitting Indiana this week will bring ice to the central and southern part of the state and snow to the north.
South Central Indiana is expected to get 3-6 inches of snow today. The National Weather Service says the size of the snowflakes affects total accumulation.
