Bloomington officials say residents must take measures to protect their trees against the invasive beetle before it is too late.
The bug was recently found on the ISU campus, but university officials say they have a plan combat the ash borer.
The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department is trying to eradicate the Emerald Ash Borers that have been found on the city's near-south side.
The new regulations apply to wood coming from all counties in the state. Old regulations affected only firewood from certain counties.
