With a large number of students needing housing at Indiana University every year, new student housing projects are popping up all over Bloomington.
The fire started from an explosion in the building Wednesday.
Henryville is still recovering from the March tornado, and some residents are only beginning the process of building their homes.
While some want less regulation on building in Bloomington, others are more worried about paying for criminal justice.
Their school was almost completely destroyed by an EF-4 tornado on March 2.
Johnson County and other nearby counties are reporting the fastest start to housing construction in several years.
Hedge fund manager and alumnus James Hodge also donated $15-million to the $60-million renovation and will have the building named in his honor.
Fire crews were called to the five alarm fire at 2nd and Main street around 9:40 PM Saturday.
