A National Weather Service damage survey confirms 2 more tornadoes touched down in southern Indiana during the severe weather outbreak early Monday morning.

An EF-1 tornado touched down about 5 and a half miles southwest of Jasper damaging several large metal buildings, a barn and a radio tower. Officials say the tornado then traveled south of Jasper and intensified to EF-2 strength as it turned northwest toward Celestine. The most significant damage was done off Ellsworth road where 2 roofs were blown off 2 brick homes. The tornado lifted after leaving a 16 mile track. One person reported a minor injury, no one else was hurt.

The other tornado touched down 2 miles west of Utica in Clark county. The EF-1 tornado left a path length of 3 miles crossing the Ohio River before lifting 1 mile west of Prospect, Kentucky. Maximum wind speeds of 95 to 100 MPH snapped large trees and damaged roofs to several homes.

The Indiana Department of Homeland Security is encouraging Hoosiers who sustained damage from the storms to report it on their website. The information will be used to determine if state officials need to seek federal assistance.
