A stage collapsed at the Indiana State Fair this summer prior to a performance by the country music duo Sugarland.
More than two months since the tragedy at the Indiana State Fair that killed seven people and injured more than 40 others, Sugarland is returning to Indianapolis tonight for a special concert at Conseco Fieldhouse. Ashlee Rollings was in front of the stage when the winds began to blow and says she barely made it out of the way when the stage collapsed. Two of her friends were injured that night.
“I‘m appreciative that I‘m still here and that all my friends are still alive but, you know, you also feel guilty,” she said. “Why not everybody else or why not me. So it‘s a mix of emotions.”
Rollings and her friends will once again be at the concert tonight.
