Storms Uproot Trees And Damage Property In Daviess County

Daviess County seems to have taken the brunt of the severe weather early Tuesday morning.

A line of severe storms moving through Indiana prompted a series of warnings overnight that stretched from Lafayette to Bloomington.

A line of severe storms moving through Indiana prompted a series of warnings overnight that stretched from Lafayette to Bloomington.

Indianapolis Power and Light reported more than 10,000 customers without power throughout Marion County at around 4 a.m.

Duke Energy reported almost 14,000 customers in the dark.

Daviess County seems to have taken the brunt of the severe weather. Trees have been uprooted throughout Washington. Power lines are down and bricks, roofing and broken glass littered the streets because of high winds.

A complete survey of the damage will begin this morning.
