Stoops Easily Wins Against Paul

Stoops has been a vocal opponent of I-69, and voted against the highway earlier this year as a member of the Bloomington MPO.

County Commissioner Mark Stoops (far left) sits on the Bloomington, Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization.

The Monroe County Democratic primary for District 2 Commissioner was won Tuesday night by Mark Stoops.

Stoops, a vocal opponent of I-69, also sits on the Bloomington-Monroe County Metropolitan Planning Organization.

He defeated Randy Paul by a 2-1 margin.
