Police taped off the area after the collapse of the stage. Investigators are currently looking into why the disaster occurred.
The Indiana State Fair Commission has created a website to provide information about the ongoing investigation of the stage collapse at the fairgrounds.
Thornton Tomasetti, the engineering company the commission has hired to conduct the on-site accident investigation, is seeking photos and video of the stage and grandstand area before or after the collapse. A link to that website can be found here.
