State Budget Committee To Meet Over Dept. Of Revenue Error

The State Budget Committee is expected to address the programming glitch made by the Department of Revenue that caused most local governments to receive an average $13 million a month less than they should have gotten through Local Option Income Tax Fund distribution.

The committee is meeting at Ivy Tech Community College in Madison on Friday. It had already been scheduled to hear a report from the State Board of Accounts on another mistake the Department of Revenue acknowledged in December.
