St. Vincent Health To Take Over Monroe Hospital

The Indianapolis-based healthcare provider will assume day to day operations of the hospital.

Officials from St. Vincent Health announced this week they will take over management duties at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.

Alabama-based Medical Properties Trust will maintain ownership of the hospital, but hired the Indianapolis-based healthcare provider to assume day to day operations.

St. Vincent Health already manages 22 hospitals around Indiana, including clinics in Bedford, Brazil and Kokomo. The company a member of the not-for-profit Catholic healthcare system.
