An area of low pressure will move into central Indiana later today bringing a wintry mix of precipitation.

Another round of snow, sleet and ice is on the way to central Indiana. Forecasters are predicting one inch of snow and sleet with a tenth of an inch of ice in south central Indiana by this evening. Two inches of the wintry mix is predicted further north.

The precipitation is expected to begin just after noon and will continue into the early evening. A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m.

Officials are warning motorists to drive carefully during the evening commute home. Richland-Bean Blossom and other schools are closing early.

Keep up to date on area delays and closings reported to WFIU and WTIU as well as county weather alerts here.
