Norma Jean Prince, 81, had been reported missing from Bloomington's Walmart.
Update: The Monroe County Coroner has confirmed that the body found submerged in a car this morning at Monroe Lake was that of Norma Jean Prince.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s office, her dark blue Buick was found early this morning by a fisherman at the Salt Creek ramp near the Monroe Lake Dam.
An autopsy will be conducted Tuesday in Vigo County.
Update, 11:50 a.m. Monday:
A Silver Alert issued on Saturday for a Monroe County woman has been canceled.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department canceled the alert for 81-year-old Norma Jean Prince this morning, confirmed Indiana State Police officials. She had been seen last at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, at the Bloomington Walmart on SR 45 (Bloomfield Rd.) and is believed to be in danger. No further details about the cancellation have been released.
