A trained spotter in New Pekin of Washington County reports three large trees uprooted.
1:55 P.M. UPDATE
Damage reports from the National Weather Service indicating a tree down on power lines at Red Hill Road near Mount Tabor Road in Monroe County.
Law enforcement in Parke County reports county road 625 West between county roads 700 South and 800 South is impassible due to high water.
1:35 P.M. UPDATE
Forecasters at the National Weather Service say a cold front will drop southeast across Indiana today. The front will interact with very warm, moist and unstable air resulting in scattered thunderstorms throughout this evening.
Some storms may be severe with damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain and lightning. Wind gusts up to 55 mphwere reported in Terre Haute causing damage to trees and loss of power. A trained spotter in Greene County recorded winds up to 60 mph. Trees are also being reported down near the intersection of highways 41 and 47 in Parke County.
A flash flood watch and severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 8 p.m.
