A report from former Secretary of State Todd Rokita shows current Secretary of State Charlie White may have intended the voter fraud of which he's accused, but says it's "rebuttable."
A report from former Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita on the charges against current Secretary of State Charlie White was released Thursday. The report, written while Rokita was still in office, had been withheld from the public at the request of the now-4th District congressman. White had been trying to release the report for more than two months, in keeping with what a press statement from his office called a “push for transparency.” The report details the collection of documents and evidence relating to charges of voter fraud against White. In the report, Rokita says there was apparent intent White did, in fact, commit voter fraud…but the former Secretary of State adds the evidence is “rebuttable” and further investigation needs to be done. White is currently under indictment and faces pressure from top state officials to resign, though he has said he will not leave office and maintains his innocence.
