Governor Mitch Daniels rides his motorcycle through Moscow, In., in the 2010 Ride with the Governor.
Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels will lead his seventh annual motorcycle ride today, Friday, Aug. 12, to benefit the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund.
The motorcycle ride sign-up begins at 8:30 a.m., and riders will depart at 10 a.m.
The riders, including Governor Mitch Daniels, will take a southern tour from Indianapolis south to Perry County near the Kentucky border then back north to the French Lick Resort.
The event is free, but riders are taking donations to support the Indiana National Guard Relief Fund. The money goes toward financial grants for Indiana soldiers and their families who are going through difficult times due to soldiers being mobilized.
Last year more than 500 bikers participated in the ride.
