A group gathered outside the Monroe County Courthouse in Bloomington to protest Sen. Todd Young's lack of town hall meetings.

Some of Republican U.S. Senator Todd Young’s constituents are unhappy he has yet to hold a town hall meeting.

A group protested on Bloomington’s courthouse square Thursday night, holding signs that read “Where’s Todd?”

Heather Meloy-Boaz traveled from Indianapolis for the protest because she says she’s frustrated with the lack of communication between Young and the Hoosiers he represents. She says she often contacts his office twice a week.

“I think that he really needs to engage the public, the scientists, the academic professionals and people who are going to be affected by the laws that are being proposed,” Meloy-Boaz says.

Protesters say they want to talk to Young about healthcare, gun control and women’s rights.

Young’s office did not respond to a request for comment.

Democratic Senator Joe Donnelly is holding a town hall meeting in Muncie Sunday.
