Police Shoot Naked Man In Bloomington

No officers were injured in the shooting, but the suspect suffered two gunshot wounds and is in surgery.

Bloomington Police are still on the scene of a shooting that happened this morning near the IU campus.

Bloomington police shot a man who was naked and firing a gun in a neighborhood. Officers found the college-aged man firing the weapon in an alley this morning.  When he was ordered to stop and didn’t, one officer fired four shots striking the man once. Officers say he got back up with the gun and a second officer fired another shot that also hit him. The unidentified man was undergoing surgery. No officers were injured. Meanwhile, police say they are continuing to investigate the shooting.
