Police Shoot and Kill Man Wanted on Two Warrants

Officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at a bar last night in Bloomington.

Officials are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at a bar last night in Bloomington.  Police shot and killed 29-year old Bryan Wright.  There were two warrants out for Wright’s arrest — one was a federal warrant for probation violations and the second was for burglary and resisting law enforcement.  The FBI, The US Marshall’s Office, and Indiana State Troopers had been investigating him.  The combined task force tracked Wright to the Highland Lounge in Bloomington.  When officers approached him he showed a gun.  In a press release from the Indiana State Patrol, a spokesperson says shots were exchanged and Wright suffered fatal injuries.  None of the officers was hurt.  Meanwhile the police investigation is continuing.  The officers involved are on paid administrative duty pending the completion of the investigation.
