There were long lines in Bloomington this morning as people waited for the iPhone 5 to go on sale, a scene that has become routine each time a new phone is released.
Earl Cooper, a representative at the AT&T store at College Mall, says about 40 to 50 people were waiting for the store’s doors to open.
“Of course everyone expected 3 times as many people here,” he says. “I think a lot of the turnout also has something to do with pre-orders coming in today.”
The store did expect to run out of the phones today but says they are receiving another shipment on Monday.
