Sixth District Congressman Mike Pence leaves Afghanistan Tuesday. As a member of a bipartisan Congressional delegation, Pence met with United States military leaders and Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai over the past few days to assess their needs as the war in Afghanistan continues. While Pence says he’s supportive of President Barack Obama’s escalation of the war, the 6th District Republican says any timeline for withdrawal in the eight-year conflict is inappropriate.WFIU’s Daniel Robison has more.
