Coach Frank Vogel says the lockout has thrown some kinks into the Pacers' recruiting process.

Indiana Pacers head coach Frank Vogel says he is excited for the upcoming NBA season, that was in doubt for several months. Vogel says he spent time during the lockout picking the brains of assistant coaches to get ready for the season and explains some challenges the team faces.

“It‘s going to be a little different training camp,” he says. “Free agency usually takes place in the summertime and that‘s going to happen almost simultaneously with the start of training camp. So we potentially could be adding a new guy the first couple of days which will be a little bit of a challenge.”

Vogel says they are not sure when the first game will be, since he but he expects it to happen around Christmas.
