Classes are still in in session and all regular activities are still scheduled at Valparaiso University. University officials say they received a threat of violence, but an investigation turned up nothing.

Valparaiso University students and staff remained on campus and in classes as scheduled Friday after the school issued a campus-wide alert. The alert coincides with campus-wide evacuations following bomb threats at both the University of Texas at Austin and North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. A statement from Valparaiso university says it received an “unspecified threat of violence” that was alleged to occur on Friday during chapel break. The university says university police, local authorities and the FBI investigated the threat and searched campus, but did not find anything suspicious. Valparaiso says additional security measures have been implemented and the investigation continues. Classes are still in in session and all regular activities are still scheduled.
