A winter storm is expected to impact portions of northern Indiana tonight. Snowfall amounts approaching 6 inches are possible across the northern parts of central Indiana tonight and early Friday… especially in the Lafayette and Kokomo areas.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for Carroll, Warren, Tippecanoe and Howard counties for heavy snow. A winter weather advisory is in effect for north central Indiana including the cities of Frankfort, Anderson and Muncie where snowfall amounts will range from 1 to 2 inches.
Motorists should also be on the look-out for periods of freezing rain or sleet when evening rain changes over to snow.
