School officials are unsure how long additional security measures will be in place.

A Mooresville High School student has been suspended for making threats on social media.  The school added security on Wednesday after the threat was posted sometime Tuesday evening.

Susan Haynes with Mooresville Schools says another student told school officials about the threat, and says the school district took immediate action. A message available on the high school‘s Facebook page was emailed to parents Wednesday morning notifying them of the additional security measures.

Haynes says the school district has turned over all information they have to Mooresville Police, which have not yet filed any charges against the student. No other schools were affected by the threat, and Haynes was unsure how long the extra security would be in place at the high school.
