Following a Tuesday meeting of the Monroe County Community School Corporation’s board, parents and politicians alike were given a chance to speak on Wednesday at Bloomington High School North. Austen Williams has the story for WTIU.
After the Wednesday community meeting, the school board met on Friday and voted unanimously to pass the proposed budget cuts. The question of whether or not to have a referendum to ask voters for an extra tax to support local public schools is currently unanswered.
