A law passed during this year’s special legislative session gives counties the option of delaying this year’s budget hearings until a more complete County Option Income Tax number is published. As WFIU’s Regan McCarthy reports, a delay this week by the Monroe County Council means county employees will have to wait another month to know whether they’re being pink-slipped in this year’s budget cuts.
